We have blinds

My bedroom is dark. It is lovely. I’m going to go to sleep now.
But as an aside, today I met in person my lovely friend Libida (note: not her real name) her lovely hubby-type person Fauxthepenix (also not his real name πŸ™ƒπŸ˜œ) and their adorable children type people: First (only girl aged 6) Second (boy aged 4) and Third (boy aged two)
Both TT and #1 Son adored them. #1 Son played and actively shared his toys and room
This is a huge deal as his room is his safe space!
Also in the chaos it was discovered that TT knows how to climb up into his bed 😱😱😱😱
Fortunately she has slightly more sense than the average lemming and just shouted for “mameeeeeeeeeeeeee” until rescued.
But the door between their rooms will remain firmly shut.
I had a lovely time and both myself and the hus-creature may have made a friend – as he and Faux were happily bonding over games.
I’m still not allowed alpacas though😭😭😭
I may just have to steal Knit and Purl from Libida.
(I am mostly joking)

  1. One thing we used to do at this time of year when the children were small was going to a pumpkin patch. Not sure whether this exists in the U.K. But it is basically a farm that opens up to families and where you can pick a pumpkin, pet farm animals, go on hay rides, get lost in a corn maze, drink fresh apple juice and eat apple pie. We had such a great time we are still nostalgic! Fortunately some friends have a 18 months so we are planning a pumpkin patch trip with them. πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸ½πŸ₯🐘
Am sure there are plenty around where you live just google pumpkin patch near me. By the way have you considered a long term car rental?

  2. Hi Fliss,

I am a bit concerned about your friends’ cheeky nicknames. Make sure the kids don’t overhear them! #1 son is in enough trouble at school as it is…

It is absolutely amazing that #1 son was happy to share his safe space with his new friends. This will really help with his adaptation to a new universe. I hope those friends visit you again really soon.

Domi’s suggestion about the pumpkin patch is brilliant. Are you going to go? It sounds wonderful and I wish I could join you.

    1. Oh don’t worry about that, #1 Son knows their real names – those are their online user names to keep a little anonymity πŸ™ƒ

We are thinking about it – needs planning but could be a lot of fun

  3. Oh yes, it would be huge fun. Well worth renting a car for. I so wish I could join you, and, by the sound of it, so does Domi!
