Pumpkin. Pie. Soda.

Pumpkin Pie, as a flavour, is BIG here.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love pumpkin SPICE – but this? This is a travesty and an abomination to my palate.
Even the hus-creature could not finish it, and he relishes the weird when it comes to comestibles.
Pumpkin pie soda will not be existing in this house again.
Apologies to my American friends, but no, this I do not get.
Butterbeer at the Harry Potter film studios is divine. We shared one between us because it was very expensive and we were not sure we would like it, but during our second visit, which was my request for my birthday but I have not had yet, we shall have one each.
There is one really nice pumpkin-related food you can make: pumpkin praline. You place pumpkin seeds in a completely empty hot saucepan and cook them until they pop. Remove them from the pan and place sugar in the pan and let it melt. You can swirl around the melting sugar but DO NOT STIR IT. Once the melted sugar has turned a nice, caramel colour, you take it off the heat, stir in the pumpkin seeds and immediately pour the gloopy mess on a sheet of grease-proof paper. After it has set you bash it with a rolling pin until it turns to crumbs. It makes a fab topping for, among other desserts, pumpkin pie!
Thanks for the photo of Happy and the books, and of the kids. #1 son is now a double star!
