When you have picky eaters

You will try anything to get them to eat.

But, it’s Sunday evening. The migraine pixie has been attempting to visit (I am staving her off with sugar, salt and caffeine) and quite frankly I reached new heights (or is it depths?) of IDGAF-itude and so came up with this:

The little buggers angels have eaten some of everything.

Which means they have both eaten fruit and there is vegetable in the pasta.

I tell you, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Particularly as I just know that if I do it again they won’t bloody touch it.

Is it wine o’clock yet?

  1. It’s like what Nanny Price (so I followed suit! ) used to do for you three. We called it a ‘Mix.’ As you said, used to get you to eat good stuff without knowing it. We used to put selections of chopped up fruit, veggies, ham, cheese with corners of bread and butter etc. Sometimes a few crisps. Worked every time!!!!

  2. Soup is a great way to sneak in a few veggies to recalcitrant kids. And the possibilities are endless!

    1. Sadly we have had no success with him with soup – he seems to not like the texture. It’s something I want to work on with him, as you say sneaky vegetables are handy.

  3. Do they like crunchy textures? If so hummus with raw carrots could be a winner (and you just need to open the bag of peeled baby carrots and the jar of hummus 😁😁😁😇😇😇😎😎😎😎😎

    1. Well TT loves “dipping” so that might be worth a go… and heck, even chips dipped in it would be great.

#1 Son USED to like carrots…
